Swisscom (Schweiz) AG has replaced its Conferencing-Platform with a Lindenbaum conferencing system. The new platform can be used not only to hold conference calls but also simultaneous web conferences, e.g. online presentations.

The Outlook® Add-in makes the organisation of telephone and web conferences part of the familiar Microsoft Outlook® platform. In just the same way as making a meeting request, telephone and web conferences can now be simply and directly organised using the main Outlook® Calendar. So now booking a conference is just as easy as scheduling an appointment. The new Outlook® Add-in from Lindenbaum will be made available to employees within specific sections of Telekom Deutschland AG as from 2011.

Scrum development is a term used for a management method as part of agile software engineering. As well as providing an iterative, incremental framework for project management, the process is based on the clear allocation of roles between the team, the product owner and the scrum master. Kerstin Buth, product manager at Lindenbaum GmbH, has been a professional scrum master for a number of weeks now. She qualified during the recent ‘Karlsruher Entwicklertage’, an event held by Ken Schwaber, one of the founders of this method. Some things just can’t be done virtually, and for Lindenbaum this included its participation at the recent Wainhouse Conference. For the fourth consecutive year since 2007, Lindenbaum took part as a sponsor of the Wainhouse Research Summit in Berlin.
The company’s first apprentice was also required to attend in person for his final exam to qualify as an IT specialist in system integration. He graduated successfully and we would like to congratulate him on his achievement.
