Under the linden tree - Wainhouse and graduations

19.07.2010 11:16

WainhouseSome things just can’t be done virtually, and for Lindenbaum this included its participation at the recent Wainhouse Conference. For the fourth consecutive year since 2007, Lindenbaum took part as a sponsor of the Wainhouse Research Summit in Berlin.

The company’s first apprentice was also required to attend in person for his final exam to qualify as an IT specialist in system integration. He graduated successfully and we would like to congratulate him on his achievement.

The apprenticeship to qualify as an IT specialist in system integration takes 3 years. Tim Glasstetter started his apprenticeship under the supervision of Clemens Gesell on 01.09.2007. On 14.07.2010 he received his official accreditation as a skilled technician, marking his successful completion of the course. Many congratulations!

Wainhouse Research is an independent market research company with a clear focus on Unified Communications and Rich Media Conferencing. The annual conference addresses core technology and marketing trends and brings together independent industry experts, solutions providers, service providers, channel partners and end consumers. Topics for discussion include audio-, video- and web-conferencing, Unified Communications and newly-developed corporate applications.

Ralf Nikolai gave a speech at the Wainhouse event of integrated audio and web platforms: Traditionally, customer service providers can be divided into audio CSPs, web CSPs and, of course, resellers. In such cases, the Audio CSPs provide audio-services and only offer web conferencing as a reseller. At the same time, the web-conferencing providers tend to stay within their own remit. As far as Lindenbaum is concerned, such self-restraint is not feasible when one considers today’s trend towards integrated platforms, as provided by the recent examples of Deutsche Telekom or AT&T. The benefits of integrated platforms are clear: Customers can easily access and use a range of services. They are not required to chop and change suppliers to make use of different products. Moreover, the provider is able to use the integrated service, accompanied by excellent service, to strengthen its relationship with its customers. Ralf Nikolai was able to demonstrate in his paper that the combination of both services can generate greater profit margins. Our conference exhibit also received a lot of admiration and praise: Those visiting the Lindenbaum stand really were sitting beneath the linden tree.

Further details on Wainhouse and the conference can be found here. Lindenbaum will also be represented at the conference events in Boston in July and October.
